Aco Head2Head
Bag Toss for Real-World Prizes
ACO Head2Head brings the official American Cornhole Organization experience to the digital world. It is a high-stakes, 1v1 competitive platform where players can test their skills in real-time matches for a chance to win cash prizes. By combining physics-based gameplay with a secure tournament structure, the game offers a professional environment for cornhole enthusiasts and competitive gamers alike.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was ensuring absolute fairness and synchronization in a real-time, skill-based environment. When real money is on the line, there is zero room for network lag or physics inconsistencies. We had to bridge the gap between complex touch-input physics and a backend system capable of handling secure financial transactions and anti-cheat protocols across different mobile devices.
The Solution
We developed a robust asynchronous matchmaking system that allows players to compete at their own pace without sacrificing the thrill of 1v1 competition. I engineered a secure 'Match State' architecture that records every bag throw and physics interaction, ensuring that when the second player joins the room, they are competing against a perfectly preserved performance. I also integrated a secure wallet system and an automated match-reporting engine to verify scores and distribute prizes the moment the final bag is thrown, maintaining the integrity of the official ACO ruleset.
